Bookcase Circa 1900s

This is a beautiful free standing bookcase constructed from American walnut. It has two adjustable shelves allowing for the accommodation of books of various sizes. The shelf brackets sit in a countersunk recess under the shelf which displays a wonderful touch of quality. The front edges have a carved reeded decoration toped with a circular cartouche.This is a sold quality piece in excellent vintage condition with only minor age related blemishes and a few flecks of paint on the base from a careless decorator however, this does not detract from its overall look.
