Dining Table And Four Chairs By Reynolds Of Ludlow Circa 1970s

Dining Table And Four Chairs By Reynolds Of Ludlow Circa 1970s

This is a beautiful looking table and is fresh to market having been in the same family from new. The piece was crafted by the patriarch of the family whilst working for Reynolds Of Ludlow. The top of the table which sits on a beech frame is solid walnut which is reflected in the fabulous grain. The four chairs are constructed from beech and elm and are in the Arts and Crafts style. The table and chairs are in excellent condition displaying no loose or wobbly joints. The seat bases are removable for ease of recovering. Reynolds of Ludlow was set up by Arthur Basil Reynolds in Ludlow in 1946. The original name of this company being Reynolds Woodware Limited, this was changed to Reynolds of Ludlow in the early 1950s for marketing reasons, although the original name remained the official Limited name. Initially set up with four cabinetmakers, having equal shares, by the time his son Garth Reynolds took over in 1960, Arthur Reynolds had bought them out. Wonderful hand crafted pieces. What’s not to love?
