Wheatsheaf Table By McGuire Furniture Circa 1970s

This is a fantastic looking table constructed from cane and sitting on four legs displaying in the form of a wheatsheaf which is topped with bevelled edged glass. Viewing the table form the top shows the wonderful craftwork of the exposed cane ends. The table was created by John and Elinor McGuire Furniture who were based in the USA. The whole has a lovely honey coloured patina which really sets the piece off.The table would make a great centre piece in a room, conservatory or as a dining table. The choice is yours.There are a few age related blemishes including a couple minor scratches and small bullseye chips to the edge of the glass top however, I am pleased to report that these do not detract from the overall great look. Great design what’s not to love?
